Mia breaks barriers with new Korean language support

California, September 17, 2025- Mia’s newest update makes it possible for Korean-speaking Medicare Advantage members to get clear, immediate answers about their health plans in their own language, and in real time.

Members can simply ask- “내 약 값은 얼마예요?”, “가까운 병원 찾아줘” and Mia responds instantly in Korean. From checking benefits to understanding letters or finding a doctor, members no longer have to wrestle with systems built for English speakers. Their questions are understood and answered right away.

Among Korean seniors in the U.S., 73% report limited English proficiency meaning English is not the language they rely on day-to-day. Nearly 41% of seniors report that language is their biggest barrier to accessing healthcare. In places like Los Angeles, Queens, and Fort Lee, Korean is one of the fastest-growing languages among Medicare Advantage members, making this launch both timely and critical.

What this means for members:

Understand their benefits without needing a family member to translate
Scan a letter and get a clear explanation in Korean
Find a doctor near them who speaks their language

By giving members direct access in Korean, Mia helps reduce confusion, strengthen trust, and improve engagement.

With Korean now live, Mia’s world is getting bigger. After Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese, Korean joins the family of languages where members can speak naturally and be heard instantly.

Korean is live today. More languages are on the way.
